Hello. We are Charles and Susan Cothran. Graphic Designers by day, potters by passion. We both enjoy day jobs but felt the need to to have another creative outlet and break
free from spending 8-10 hours a day in front of a computer. We recently decided to
revisit our love of pottery after playing around with clay off an on for a few decades.
We draw our inspiration from living on the coast and natural surroundings. Taking a
pile of earth and making something sculptural or functional is very relaxing and

rewarding. We want our pottery pieces to have a dual purpose—both an object of

utility and a medium for artistic expression. You won’t see any production pieces

as each of our pieces are one-of-a-kind and always a little surprising.
